Golden Crisplets
Ingredients:
For the Nuggets:
β’ 450 g ground chicken
β’ 2β3 small garlic cloves, finely chopped
β’ 3 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped (divided)
β’ 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (divided)
β’ 120 g breadcrumbs
β’ Salt (to taste)
β’ Paprika (to taste)
β’ 1 tablespoon cooking oil (use a spray for lighter coating)
For the Sauce:
β’ 1 cup mayonnaise
β’ 1 teaspoon sugar
β’ 2 teaspoons pickle relish
β’ 3 teaspoons white onion, finely chopped
Instructions:
For the Nuggets:
1. Preheat your oven to 200Β°C (390Β°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly spray it with oil.
2. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, finely chopped garlic, 2 tablespoons parsley, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Season with salt and paprika to taste.
3. In a shallow bowl, mix breadcrumbs with the remaining parsley and black pepper.
4. Shape the chicken mixture into small balls and gently flatten them to form nugget shapes.
5. Coat each nugget in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring even coverage.
6. Place the coated nuggets on the prepared baking sheet and spray them lightly with cooking oil.
7. Bake in the oven for 15β20 minutes, flipping them halfway through to ensure even cooking. Nuggets are done when golden and fully cooked through.
8. Remove from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
For the Sauce:
1. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, sugar, pickle relish, and finely chopped white onion until smooth.
2. Refrigerate the sauce until ready to serve.
