Garlic Chick Stir
Ingredients
• 1.3 lb (600g) Chicken Breast (uncooked weight – butterflied or thinly sliced)
• Garlic Powder, Pepper, and Smoked Paprika (for seasoning)
• 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
• 1 tbsp Honey
• 1 tsp Chili Oil (optional – can substitute with Sesame Oil)
• 1.6 lb (26 oz / 740g) Thin Noodles
• Sesame Seeds, Green Onions, and Sliced Chili (optional garnishes)
• 1 tsp Cornstarch mixed with 1/3 cup (80ml) Water
Sauce:
• 1/4 cup (2.4 oz / 70ml) Soy Sauce
• 2 tsp Minced Garlic
• 1 tsp Minced Ginger
• 1 tsp Chili Garlic Paste
• 2 tbsp Sweet Soy Sauce
• 2 tbsp Honey
• 1 tsp Hoisin Sauce
Instructions
1. Season the Chicken:
• Season the chicken breast with garlic powder, pepper, and smoked paprika.
2. Marinate the Chicken:
• In a bowl, combine 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp honey, and 1 tsp chili oil. Pour this mixture over the chicken and let it marinate for about 15 to 30 minutes.
3. Prepare the Sauce:
• In a separate bowl, mix all sauce ingredients together. Set aside.
4. Cook the Noodles:
• Cook the noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
5. Cook the Chicken:
• Heat a skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and stir-fry for about 5 to 7 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked.
6. Add Sauce and Thicken:
• Pour the prepared sauce into the skillet with the chicken. Add the cornstarch and water mixture to thicken the sauce. Let it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
7. Combine with Noodles:
• Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with the chicken and toss to coat everything evenly in the sauce.
8. Garnish and Serve:
• Garnish with sesame seeds, green onions, and sliced chili, if desired. Serve hot and enjoy your flavorful Honey Soy Stir-Fried Chicken with Noodles!
